2. Competition & promotional terms

We may run giveaways on social media, newsletter or the Website.
Promotions are open to UK residents aged 18+.
Instructions, opening/closing dates and prize details will appear in the specific post/email.
We may withdraw or amend promotions at any time without notice.
Discount codes issued as prizes expire 12 months from first issue and are single-use.

3. Deals & discount codes

We reserve the right to cancel codes, campaigns or resulting orders at any time.
Codes are for retail customers only and cannot be used by wholesalers, resellers or schools.
Only one order-discount code and one shipping-discount code may be applied per order (they do not stack unless expressly stated).
All campaigns are stock-dependent.

4. Price Match Guarantee

Should you find an identical, in-stock book for a lower price at a qualifying UK retailer, we will refund you the difference. Our Price Match Guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

To initiate a claim, please email pricematch@foxandfablebooksellers.com, using your order number as the subject line.
Your claim must include proof of your payment to us, alongside verifiable evidence of the lower price for the identical item from the competing retailer.
The competitor's price must be their standard, publicly advertised price. The guarantee does not extend to prices achieved through special promotions, voucher codes, membership-specific discounts, loyalty scheme redemptions, or the use of store credit or gift cards.
We reserve the right to verify the competitor's price and stock availability before issuing a refund.

5. Loyalty scheme (“Book Perks”)

You must hold an account to earn points; guest orders are excluded.
Points accrue on eligible purchases and may be redeemed on future orders of £30+.
Points are non-transferable, have no cash value and expire after 180 days of inactivity.
We may amend or terminate the scheme at any time.

6. Your responsibility for others using your connection

You must ensure that anyone accessing the Website via your device or internet connection is aware of and complies with these Terms. If they do not, you must stop them.

Your use of the Website is also governed by our:

Keep usernames, passwords and any other identifiers confidential. You are liable for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

11. Ownership of material

All intellectual-property rights in the Website and its content are owned by or licensed to us. Third-party marks remain the property of their owners. No rights are granted except those expressly set out.

Content is provided for general information only and does not constitute advice. We make no warranties as to accuracy or completeness.

13. Permitted use

You may view, print or share pages for personal, non-commercial use, provided you:

keep all copyright notices intact;
do not modify text, images or media;
credit us (and any cited authors) as the source.

No data-scraping, automated extraction or bulk reproduction without written consent.

14. Prohibited use

You must not:

reproduce or resell any part of the Website beyond clause 12;
interfere with the Website, servers or networks;
upload or transmit malicious code;
use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene or discriminatory purposes;
harvest data or send unsolicited marketing;
submit personal data of anyone under 18.

15. Viruses & other harmful content

We do not warrant the Website is secure or free from bugs. You should use up-to-date antivirus software. Do not intentionally introduce malware or perform denial-of-service attacks; such actions may be reported to law enforcement.

Inbound

You may link to our home page only with prior written consent, provided the link:

is fair and legal;
does not damage our reputation or suggest endorsement;

17. Exclusions & limitations of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.

Subject to the above, we shall not be liable—whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statutory duty or otherwise—for:

loss of profits, sales, business or revenue;
loss of goodwill or reputation;
loss of anticipated savings or opportunity;
indirect or consequential loss;
loss or corruption of data;
inability to access the Website.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the total value of any order you placed in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us (and our directors, employees, agents, affiliates) harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

your use of the Website;

We reserve the right to assume exclusive defence of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification.

The Website is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or security). We do not warrant that the Website will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

The Website and any goods or services offered are intended for UK residents aged 18 or over. If you are under 18 you must not use the Website, purchase goods or submit personal data.

21. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms (and any non-contractual disputes) are governed by English law. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
